Overview
Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.
Additional non-returnable items:
- Gift cards
- Downloadable software products
- Some health and personal care items
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:
- Book with obvious signs of use
- CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Refunds
If you are not completely satisfied with your Thermomix® purchase, you may return it within 7 days from the date of delivery, subject to the below conditions. This policy applies to any and all products sold via shop.thermomix.com. Return policies from any external online or retail stores will not be accepted. We highly encourage any customer who purchases a Thermomix® to take advantage of the personalized service we offer by booking a Get Cooking session. You can book one by emailing service@thermomix.us. If you still wish to return your purchase, the following conditions will apply to all products except those marked as “non-refundable” on your order:
Full refund
- Unopened / original condition as shipped; or
- Wrong item that does not match the item in your order; or
- Defective item (excludes interruptions due to inconsistent power supply issues related to loadshedding and the use of alternative power supply sources)
A restocking fee equal to 10% of item purchase price will be deducted
- Opened or used item
No refund
- Return item is missing any parts / accessories; or
- Damaged; or
- Showing obvious misuse
- Interruptions of the TM6 due to inconsistent power supply issues related to loadshedding and the use of alternative power supply sources
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at {email address} and send your item to: {physical address}.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.
Shipping returns
To return your product, you should mail your product to: {physical address}.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
TM6 Warranty
SWISS DIVERSITAS GROUP (Pty) Ltd, the official distributor of Vorwerk-Thermomix in South Africa, situated in Birnam,
Gauteng (“the Company”) provides a warrantee on all Thermomix TM6 units supplied for a period of TWO (2) years from the date of
purchase for units utilized for personal usage and for a period of ONE (1) year for all commercially used units if:
(a) The product has been used and utilized for the purposes indicated in the instruction booklet provided;
(b) The product has been maintained in accordance with the Care and Maintenance Instructions provided and as specifically illustrate in the product instruction manual (importantly, the instruction manual of any and all products must be read before any operation and/or replacing any parts of the product);
(c) The product has not been subject to misuse, physical abuse or neglect and/or the use of any generic, non-approved parts or product of whichever nature for maintenance purposes;
(d) Manufacturing standards and tolerances are not deemed defects, nor are industry variations in the colour of the surface finish; and
(e) Damages affected by refurbishing or repair to any TM6 units, by parties other than the Company, except when appointed by the Company, are not covered by our Warrantee.
The Company assumes no liability for and the Warranty does not extend to:
(i) damage caused by cleaning solvents or unapproved cleaning products not recommended by the Company and/or as referred to in the instruction manual;
(ii) In the event of the customer using and/or making use of parts which are not genuine parts. This includes generic parts and/or any other parts not approved by the Company in writing, leading to damage/fault of the unit;
(iii) When the mixing bowl is inserted incorrectly and/or forcefully, damaging the TM6 unit, other than as instructed in the booklet and does not fit the insert of the unit any longer;
(iv) Electrical damage due to lightning strikes, electrical storms and/or defective energy supplies to the TM6 unit;
(v) Unless all claims and damages are received in writing within 30 days of the defect becoming apparent;
(vi) For any further direct, incidental, special, consequential or third party claims for loss, damage or expenses, subject to any overriding law (statutory or otherwise) to the contrary; and
(vii) For any representation, statement or information made by or on behalf of the Company whether made prior to or after the giving of this Warranty and its liability shall be solely derived from the terms of this Warranty, subject to any overriding law (statutory or otherwise) to the contrary.
The customer accepts the terms and the conditions contained in this Warranty in conjunction with the sale/purchase agreement by completing and submitting the online Warranty and liability which has been properly explained and understood by the client.
